Whether you're a seasoned believer or just starting out, you've found a space built for depth, truth, and transformation. This is a teaching space designed to help you:
- Build intimacy with God through Word immersion
- Understand your spiritual authority and identity in Christ
- Step into your calling as a Priest and King
If you're here, it's not by accident. So let me show you where we're going and why we're starting exactly where we are.
Why "The Power of Words" Is Our First Blog Topic.
When I sat down to map out the content for Mountains to Dust, I knew exactly where we had to start: The Power of Words. Not because it's trendy. Not because it sounds good. But because everything we're building here, every teaching, every declaration, every step toward becoming a Kingdom General, hinges on understanding several foundational truths including this one: Your words carry authority that has been delegated to you by Jesus.
Luke 10:19 (NLT): “Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy…”
Proverbs 18:21 (NLT) : “The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.”
Ephesians 4:29 (NLT): “Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.”
This Is Our Core Methodology.
Mountains to Dust isn't just a name we thought sounded cool. By inspiration it's pulled straight from Isaiah 41:15, where God promises to make us "a new sharp threshing instrument" that threshes mountains and beats them small. And how do we thresh? Through the Word of God in prayers and declarations.
If you don't understand that words carry creative and destructive power, you won't understand how Kingdom Generals operate. You won't grasp why we speak to mountains instead of just complaining about them. You won't see that your mouth is a weapon, a tool, an instrument of Kingdom authority.
This is foundational. We can't build anything else without it.
This topic Meets Everyone Where They Are.
One of the beautiful things about Mountains to Dust is that we're a space for both seekers and rooted believers. And the power of words? It bridges that gap perfectly.
For seekers:No theology degree is required to test this. Watch how your words and declarations influence your reality, perspective, and outcomes, trusting the truth that you are made in God’s image and loved by Him long before you even knew Him.
Genesis 1:27 NIV : “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”
Jeremiah 1:5 NIV : “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart…”
For rooted believers: This deepens what you already know. It takes you from passively quoting scripture to actively wielding it. It shows you why declarations aren't just positive thinking, they're spiritual authority in action.
Luke 10:19 (NLT): “Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you.”
Matthew 18:18 (NLT): “I tell you the truth, whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.”
"The Power of Words" or "Utterance of Power" Validates Our Mission.
"Mountains to Dust" isn't poetry. It's a verbal declaration of authority. And if I'm going to teach you how to speak to your mountains, I need to first show you why speaking to mountains actually works.
This is where we go to scriptures:
Mark 11:23: Jesus said we can speak to mountains and they will move.
Proverbs 18:21: Death and life are in the power of the tongue
Genesis 1: God spoke creation into existence
I don't want you to sit and wait until you "feel ready" or "become spiritual enough" to step into your calling. You can start right now. Today. This moment.
You can begin speaking life instead of death. You can start declaring truth over your circumstances. You can practice wielding your words with intention and authority. And you'll see results.
Those early wins? They build faith. And that faith propels you deeper into the journey of becoming a Kingdom General.
Here's the pattern:
God spoke creation into existence (Genesis 1).
Jesus spoke to storms, sickness, death, and they obeyed (Mark 4:39, Luke 7:14).
We're made in His image with the same creative capacity (Genesis 1:26-27).
Death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21).
You are not powerless. You are not a victim of your circumstances. You have been given authority to speak, and when you speak in alignment with God's Word, things shift.
The truth is that you're already speaking. Every single day. The question is, what are you saying? Are you speaking complaints? Fears? Doubts? Negativity? Self-defeat?
Most people don't realize they're using their God-given authority destructively. They're threshing their own hope into dust instead of threshing the mountains standing in their way. This topic meets you where you are and redirects your existing behavior toward Kingdom purpose
"The Power of Words" Sets the Tone for Everything Else.
If you don't grasp that your words carry weight in the spiritual realm, you'll never step into ruling as a Priest and King. You'll stay stuck in survival mode instead of stepping into dominion. This isn't motivational speaking. This is wielding the sword of the Spirit:
Ephesians 6:17 (NLT):“Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
Hebrews 4:12 (KJV): “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
This is understanding that the Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword. And when you speak that Word in faith, you're not just talking. You're threshing.
This is the key that unlocks everything else we're going to explore together in this community.
